The best way to explore the attractions of Władysławowo is as a couple – at a relaxed pace and away from the crowds. The town lies right at the base of the Hel Peninsula, so in one place you'll find a wide beach, a fishing port, a viewing tower and easy access to Hel and the cliffs. Below, we share our suggestions for what to do in Władysławowo over the course of a day, so that by the evening you can return to a quiet apartment and enjoy some time just for the two of you. This is a guide to the town designed with couples in mind, with distances measured from our doorstep, so you can easily put together your own plan.
The beach: the town's first and most important attraction
It takes around 15 minutes to walk from Elegante to the sea, and the port divides the shore into two different beaches. On the open Baltic Sea side, near entrance number 1 and the footbridge, you'll find the busier beach with a wide stretch of sand. On the Hel Peninsula side, near the entrances to Chałupy, the shore is quieter and full of shells. If you're looking for peace and quiet as a couple, we recommend the second option. In the summer season, lifeguards are on duty at both beaches and flags are displayed to show where it is safe to swim.
Outside the season, the beach looks completely different from July. The wind, wooden breakwaters in the water and the empty shore are the perfect excuse for a long walk, searching for amber after a storm or simply watching the waves. In summer, on the other hand, it's easy to spend the whole afternoon on a blanket, with an ice cream break on the way back. Either way, the day in Władysławowo usually starts at the beach.
Behind the stretch of sand lie dunes and the areas of the Coastal Landscape Park, and a network of paths runs along the shore that you can follow much further than the nearest access point. If you enjoy walking, set off along the water and return when it starts to get chilly. In the evening, it's worth catching the moment when the sun goes down over the sea – it's the best time for photos.
The fishing port and the breakwater promenade
The port in Władysławowo is busy all year round. Fishing boats moor here, and the western breakwater stretches far out into the sea, so you can walk along it like a promenade and watch the waves up close. It's particularly impressive when the sea is rough. In the morning, fresh fish comes in, so the port is a natural choice when you're craving fish for dinner. We'll be happy to recommend a specific place for you at reception.
In the summer season, excursion boats also depart from the port, so instead of driving to Hel by car, you can reach it by water. Even just a stroll along the quay, with a view of the boats and fishing nets, is a lovely idea for a lazy morning or for an evening walk when it cools down and the beach crowds have begun to disperse.
Dom Rybaka and the viewing tower
Dom Rybaka is the most recognisable building in Władysławowo, and in our opinion, climbing its viewing tower is one of the best attractions in town. From the top, you'll see a full panorama: the beach, the port, the Hel Peninsula and the coastline stretching towards Rozewie. It's just a short walk from the town centre. It's best to plan your visit for a clear afternoon before heading further along the coast.
The same building also houses the Butterfly Museum, so if it happens to rain, you'll have a ready-made idea for an hour indoors. The combination of the view from the top and a quiet museum visit works particularly well when the weather isn't ideal for sunbathing. It's worth setting aside a little time for this, as both the tower and the exhibition can easily take an hour or two.
Władysławowo for couples: peaceful walks around town
Apart from the beach, the town has a few spots that suit a slower, shared pace. There's no need to plan them down to the minute – just set off on foot and combine them as you go.
- Park Miejski and Skwer nad Zatoką – ideal for a shady walk with benches and a view of the water.
- Aleja Gwiazd Sportu – a promenade featuring plaques dedicated to well-known Polish athletes.
- The Olympic Training Centre – long associated with Władysławowo.
- Ocean Park – a nice stop away from the beach.
From these spots, it's easy to put together a peaceful day for two, without a car and without rushing. It could look something like this:
- Breakfast in your apartment in the morning, followed by a walk to the beach and along the shore.
- Midday at the port, a stroll along the breakwater and lunch with fish nearby.
- In the afternoon, climb the viewing tower at Dom Rybaka and take a walk through Park Miejski.
- In the evening, return to your apartment, relax in the jacuzzi and watch a film with no need to look at the clock.

Day trips from Władysławowo for couples
One of the greatest advantages of Władysławowo is that from one location you can head in two directions. To the east runs the Hel Peninsula, and to the west lies the coastline with its cliffs and lighthouse. We're right at the base of the peninsula, so you can set off in the morning without getting stuck in the traffic that builds up on the only road, and in the evening you can return straight to your apartment.
The Hel Peninsula
Chałupy is just 6 km from us – a few minutes by car, or around half an hour by bike along the path beside the Bay of Puck. Further along are Jastarnia and Jurata, around 20–25 km away, and at the very end of the peninsula is Hel, around 34 km away, with its cape, lighthouse and seal sanctuary. This is a full day to explore, best done by bike or by train, which runs through the successive seaside villages all the way to Hel. Along the way, you can get off wherever a particular beach catches your eye. If you'd prefer to stay closer to this side, you can read more on our page about accommodation at the entrance to the Hel Peninsula.
Towards the cliffs and the lighthouse
In the other direction, just a few kilometres west, you'll find the lighthouse at Rozewie and the high cliffs near the northernmost point of Poland. The coastal hiking trail runs through this area, and a little further on, in Jastrzębia Góra, you can walk down the wooded Lisi Jar ravine. The view of the sea from the top is stunning at any time of year and makes for a great half-day trip when you're in the mood for something different from sand and the pier.
The area is easy to explore by bike, as the paths connect the neighbouring villages and for the most part run away from the main traffic. Cycling is also the most pleasant way to reach the beach in Chałupy or to get closer to the cliffs, without having to search for a parking space at the peak of the season.
An evening for two: back to your apartment
After a day in town or by the water, the best part begins when you return. Elegante is a small, adults-only aparthotel with just five apartments for couples, so evenings here are truly quiet. Three of the apartments have a private jacuzzi, and the Turkusowy Apartment also has an infrared sauna in the living room – perfect after a chilly walk along the coast. The largest apartment is the Lazurowy Apartment, located on the ground floor, with a separate entrance and a small veranda. The other apartments in Władysławowo have also been designed with couples in mind.
In the morning, we bring breakfast to your apartment at a time of your choosing, or out onto the terrace if the weather is nice. We prepare it ourselves: scrambled eggs made with local produce, homemade cake and vegetables from our garden. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 10:30, so after an evening in the jacuzzi, no one will rush you out at the crack of dawn. Parking is free and monitored, with one space per apartment, and you can easily reach the beach on foot anyway.
You can end your evening entirely in your own space: a cup of coffee or tea from the kitchenette, a film on Netflix and a soak in the jacuzzi, without ever stepping out into the corridor. If your stay is to celebrate an anniversary or be a surprise, you can add our romantic package: candles, rose petals, sparkling wine served by the jacuzzi, and if you choose the dinner option, we'll bring it straight to your apartment. You can check the current prices for our apartments and packages in our online booking system, as they depend on the date and season.
