Spa in Władysławowo: private for two or a hotel with a spa?

Private spa for two, or a hotel with a spa? When you're looking for a spa in Władysławowo for a getaway for two, you'll quickly notice that these are two very different things. Either a shared wellness area somewhere in the hotel, or a jacuzzi and sauna that are exclusively yours in your apartment. At Elegante, we chose the second option, and below we explain the difference and which one will work best for you. There isn't one perfect answer for everyone, but there is a clear difference that's worth knowing before making a booking.

Hotel with a spa vs a private spa in your apartment

When you see the word "spa" in a hotel description, it usually refers to a shared area: a swimming pool, saunas, sometimes a jacuzzi and treatment rooms. You can use these during set hours, in swimwear and alongside other guests. It can be necessary to book a sauna session or a massage in advance, and in the evening, when everyone heads downstairs after a day at the beach, it can get crowded.

A private spa works the opposite way. A hydromassage bath, and in one of our apartments also a sauna, are part of your room. You don't share them with anyone, you don't have to stick to opening hours and you don't need a swimsuit. You can get into the water whenever you feel like it: before watching a film, after dinner or in the morning with a cup of coffee. That's the difference between a spa for two by the sea and a wellness area that half the hotel passes through.

  • Opening hours: hotel spas have limited hours, whereas our jacuzzi and sauna are available 24 hours a day.
  • Privacy: the wellness area is shared, but your private spa is just for the two of you.
  • Bookings: massages or sauna sessions often need to be booked in a hotel, here all you need to do is run the water.
  • Dress code: swimwear is required in the shared area, but not in your apartment.

Neither option is inherently better. A large spa offers more facilities under one roof, while a private spa offers peace and quiet. The rest of this article focuses on the latter, as that's our idea of a getaway for two.

There's also one thing that people often don't consider when making a booking: comfort and hygiene. With a private jacuzzi, the water is run on demand, so it's fresh for your bath, and your bathroom and bathrobes are right next to you. You don't have to walk down a wet corridor back to your room, and you don't share a changing room with anyone. After using the sauna, it's just a few steps back to your own bed.

Private spa in your apartment: a jacuzzi and sauna just for you

Elegante is a small, adults-only aparthotel with five apartments for couples. Three of them have a private jacuzzi in the room, and one of these also has a sauna. We don't have a swimming pool or a shared spa area – this is a conscious choice. We'd rather you enjoy relaxation in complete privacy than share it with strangers in the corridor.

Three apartments with a jacuzzi

The jacuzzi is featured in the Lazurowy, Morski and Turkusowy Apartments. Each is furnished differently, so your choice depends on what you're looking for.

  • The Lazurowy Apartment is our largest at 47 m², with a large double jacuzzi offering seven programmes. It's on the ground floor, has a separate entrance and a balcony with a seating area.
  • The Morski Apartment (30 m²) also has a large double jacuzzi, is on the ground floor and has a separate entrance to its balcony. It's the most intimate of the three.
  • The Turkusowy Apartment (35 m²) combines a jacuzzi with a sauna, which we'll cover in a moment. Its bedroom can be closed off with a separate door.

If you'd like to compare all three side by side, you can find them on our hotel with a jacuzzi in the room page. If you let us know in advance, your jacuzzi can be ready with warm water when you arrive at your apartment. Candles and bath foam are included in our romantic packages.

Infrared sauna in the Turkusowy Apartment

Only the Turkusowy Apartment has a sauna. It's a dry infrared sauna located in the living room next to the jacuzzi. It heats up faster than a traditional Finnish sauna and is gentler, making it ideal for warming up your muscles after a long walk along the Baltic Sea shore, without the feeling of stuffiness. It's easy to use, and if anything is unclear, we'll be happy to explain it on site. We've described this combination – jacuzzi and sauna in one living room – in more detail on our apartment with a jacuzzi and sauna page.

What else is in the apartment

The apartments with a jacuzzi feature a kitchenette with a fridge, kettle and crockery, air conditioning, a TV with Netflix and Wi-Fi. The Lazurowy and Morski Apartments have a coffee machine, while the Turkusowy Apartment comes with a sauna instead. Bathrobes, slippers and toiletries are provided, so you don't need to bring anything for your private spa experience. You can make tea or coffee in your apartment and enjoy it by the jacuzzi without having to go downstairs.

When a hotel spa in Władysławowo is a better choice

To be honest, a private spa won't replace everything. If you're dreaming of a large swimming pool, a steam sauna, a salt grotto or a full menu of treatments with a massage therapist, then it's best to look for a large hotel spa in Władysławowo with extensive facilities. We don't have a swimming pool or treatment rooms, and we don't pretend otherwise.

It's also worth thinking about how you like to relax. For some, relaxation means activity: a pool, a gym or entertainment. For others, it means closed doors and peace and quiet. There's no right or wrong answer – they're simply two different approaches to the same getaway. A private spa is the better choice when what you value most is peace and quiet for two: no queue for the sauna, no children by the jacuzzi and no need to watch the clock for when the wellness area closes.

A private spa as an evening for two

A jacuzzi on its own is lovely, but for many couples, their stay becomes a small ritual. If you'd like, we can prepare your apartment before you arrive: candles in lanterns, rose petals, sparkling wine by the jacuzzi, as well as fruit and sweet treats. If you opt for a dinner add-on, we'll bring it straight to your apartment, so you can spend the whole evening there without booking a table. We can discuss the details over the phone – such as the colour of the roses or the time of your surprise – and our service is always discreet. You can find all of this in our romantic offer by the sea. It's a great idea for an anniversary, an engagement or simply a weekend that feels a little different from the usual.

A typical day with a private spa for two

Check-in at Elegante is from 16:00, and check-out is by 10:30, so you won't be rushed in the morning. A day in a spa for two by the sea could look like this:

  1. In the morning, we serve breakfast in your apartment at a time of your choice, or on the balcony if the weather is nice. We make it ourselves: scrambled eggs with local produce, homemade cake and vegetables from our garden.
  2. Then it's off to the beach – a 15-minute walk away – or you could take a bike ride along the Hel Peninsula. Chałupy is 6 km away.
  3. Along the way, you can stop at the viewing tower at Dom Rybaka, stroll along the pier in the harbour, or if you have more time, take a trip to Hel or to the lighthouse at Rozewie.
  4. In the evening, you return to your apartment – the perfect time for a jacuzzi or sauna session. No need to leave again or get dressed back up.

You don't need to go anywhere to enjoy your spa – it's right there in your room. After a stormy or chilly day outside the peak season, a warm bath is especially enjoyable.

If the weather isn't on your side, your private spa is more than enough. Instead of heading back cold to a shared area, you can stay in: watch a film on Netflix, make a coffee in your kitchenette, take a dip in the jacuzzi and warm up in the sauna. The whole day can be spent in your apartment – and that certainly doesn't have to feel like a wasted holiday.

Other things to bear in mind when choosing

The spa isn't everything. Here are a few other things that come as standard with your stay:

  • Peace and quiet. We are adults only all year round, and during the season we do not accept pets.
  • Breakfast served in your apartment at a time that suits you – no canteen or buffet.
  • Free, monitored parking on site, with one parking space per apartment.
  • A reception that isn't open 24/7, but you're always welcome to speak to us in person or call us on 609 238 849.

We don't list the prices of apartments or packages here, as they change depending on the season and the day of the week. You can check the current rate for your dates in our online booking system.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a shared spa area or swimming pool at Elegante?

No. We focus on a private spa in your apartment: a jacuzzi in three of our apartments, and an infrared sauna in the Turkusowy Apartment. This means you don't share them with other guests and can use them at any time. If you're looking for a large swimming pool or a treatment area, a traditional hotel spa would be a better fit.

Which apartment should I choose for a spa for two by the sea?

If you'd like a sauna, choose the Turkusowy Apartment. If you want the most space and a large jacuzzi, the Lazurowy Apartment is the best option. The Morski Apartment is the most intimate, also with a large jacuzzi and a separate entrance to its balcony.

Are the jacuzzi and sauna available for the entire stay?

Yes. They're part of your apartment, so you can use them 24 hours a day, with no need to book a time slot. If you let us know in advance, the jacuzzi can be ready with warm water when you arrive.

How much does a stay with a private spa in the apartment cost?

Prices depend on your dates and the apartment you choose, so it's best to check them live via our online booking system.
